SFM4000 Serie

Standalone fingerprint module loaded with Supremas latest award-winning fingerprint algorithm. The Suprema SFM4000 series are compact, power efficient and simple to integrate with various system applications where biometric security is required. Over the company’s existing SFM Series modules’ feature, the new SFM4000 series offers flexible supply voltage, integrated power management, small footprint, and voltage detector functions.

 

The module is designed for manufacturers look for an inexpensive, reliable biometric solution with extra low power-consumption and compact size. SFM4000 series offers automatic power control with its built-in power control circuit and operates with a single 3.3V dc supply or unregulated power such as batteries. The newly added features are mainly focused on simplifying system design procedures, hence reducing time to market and bill of materials.

 

In addition to the power saving feature, SFM4000-TS4 adopts UPEK’s certified TouchStrip TS4 sensor. The TS4 sensor, packed in compact housing, is designed to perform excellent with dry fingers and under extreme temperatures (-30’C ~ 70’C). In addition, on-board memory for sensor calibration data, UART interface and digital I/O make it easy to integrate into applications like door lock, safe and mobile devices where demand for biometric security is growing.

 

In 2008, Suprema performed top result in NIST’s MINEX Tests by outperforming all 21 ‘matcher’ algorithms from 17 vendors and 23 ‘extractor’ algorithms from 20 vendors and, the company was ranked top at last two consecutive Fingerprint Verification Competitions (FVC 2004 & 2006) with its industry-leading fingerprint technology.
